STRUCTUREArea sizes: Large 100x70 | Medium 74x70 | Small 60x50Arrange the pitch as shown in the video. Place a large goal at either end of the pitch.The practice requires twenty (20) outfield players and two (2) goalkeepers. One team works in a 4-3-3 formation. The other team works in a 4-4-2.The practice always starts and restarts with the red goalkeeperThe red team aims to play through the thirds and score in the opposite goal.The white team aims to win the ball back and score in the opposite goal.STRESSESAsk the white team to use different pressing patterns.Change the white team formation.Include offsides beyond the defensive line.PHYSICAL LOAD: Adjust area sizes based on physical outcomes. Use larger areas for high sprints/distances and smaller areas for accelerations/decelerations.SOLUTIONSTEAMSHAPE - Keep the full-backs connected the centre-backs.SUPPORT - Full-backs drop low to create a passing angle for centre-backs.SUPPLY - Play through, around or over the opposition - make every pass playable.COACHES TIP “Provoke the opposition to press and then find the free player on the next line.”
