Morning everyone,

We’ve just uploaded the third Beginner’s Guide to Coaching warm-up, which focuses on quick movements and sharp touches of the ball through a fun, competitive practice.

Over the next few days, we’ll be completing the remaining Beginner’s Guide to Coaching practices before bringing everything together create a class for the first part of our coaching pathway.

Afternoon everyone,

We’ve just uploaded another playing-out technical practice, this time focusing on dealing with a centre-forward and a wide forward pressing your back line.

Again, this is a practice we like to use as a lead-in when working with our core, helping to fine-tune the technical actions while painting a few tactical pictures.

Good afternoon,

We have added a playing-out practice based on building from the back, with three players against two pressing on the first line.

This was evident in the Arsenal v Liverpool game last week, where Arsenal had initial success before Slot tweaked the press, leading to Arsenal's struggles in the second half.

This practice is available for all subscribers.

Keep an eye out for announcements on our live webinars, which will begin with this topic. These will be free for all subscribers.

Morning everyone,

We’ve just uploaded one of our technical movement practices that we love to use as a lead-in for our attacking players - The Hat. This practice focuses on three specific movements designed to manipulate the defender.

Tip One
Ensure the player using the movement maintains eye contact with the ball. Players often have a tendency to spin the wrong way and lose sight of it. We’ve even seen this happen with top professionals! Ha

Tip Two
Don’t spend too much time trying to coach exact timing. Instead, challenge players to arrive on the ball at the right moment and avoid breaking their stride after receiving. Timing is something players need to feel. Coach more around the triggers, for example, a good open touch is a strong trigger for movement.

We have added some tactical details from last night's Arsenal v Liverpool game. This includes eight practices related to Arsenal's struggles in building with a +1 on the defensive line.

Mikey at Tactx has provided the talkover, and you may hear he is a little under the weather! More will be added to this over the next two days.

Our latest tactical analysis is based on the new Chelsea manager, Liam Rosenior.

In the video, we discuss the strengths and weaknesses of his playing style and how it will suit Chelsea.

We think he will improve the culture at Chelsea, and his mannerisms and personality will help him connect with the players and fans.

He is a relatively young coach, and the detail on the pitch will need work to create the success that a club like Chelsea requires.

Have a watch and let us know what you think. This is available to everyone.

Morning, everyone. Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

We’ve just uploaded another playing-out technical practice, which again focuses on four simple patterns for dealing with a one-player press.

This is a core practice we like to use as a lead-in when working with our centre-backs, full-backs, and deeper midfielders (The Core).

We’ll break this down in greater detail once we finalise our Playing Out class. Hope you enjoy.

Afternoon everyone,

We’ve just uploaded a technical practice focused on controlling a centre forward pressing on their own.

We typically use this practice when working with The Core, as it helps us identify key technical details needed to manage a one-player press, before progressing into a skill-based or game-related practice.

Check out our latest upload: a technical passing practice that flows into a 3v1 Rondo.

We first encountered this practice years ago during a study trip with the Spanish national team and have used it ever since. It’s ideal for a fast-paced lead-in, encouraging constant movement and a high number of touches.

Be mindful of the workload; it’s demanding on the legs.
