We’ve added another attacking transition practice focused on retaining possession. This one was sent to us by a friend of ours who is a former first-team coach in the Premier League. After seeing the practice we shared yesterday, he felt this would be a great one to pass on.

It’s an excellent practice; we hope you enjoy it. If you’d like to share any of your own practices or ideas, please send them across.

Morning everyone, hope you all had a great weekend and are getting into the Christmas spirit 🎄

We’ve just uploaded our latest Attacking Transition practice, with a strong focus on retaining possession. It’s also a great practice for developing goalkeepers, particularly their ability to stay involved and retain possession under pressure.

If you don’t have access to full-size goals, the practice can easily be adapted by placing your goalkeepers in two end zones instead.

Morning,

We’ve uploaded our latest game-based practice from our Beginner’s Guide to Coaching. The practice maintains a strong 1v1 focus while also introducing players to recognising when and how to work together.

We used this practice across multiple age groups and ability levels during our visit to the United States this summer as part of our coach-the-coach work.

If you don’t have access to full goals, you can easily adapt the practice by replacing them with gates and asking players to dribble through for the same outcome.
