GOALKEEPING | PLAYING OUT | PRACTICE 3

STRUCTUREArea sizes: Large 50x70 | Medium 40x60 | Small 30x50. Arrange the pitch as shown in the video. Place goals (or gates) as shown in the video.The practice consists of one (1) goalkeeper and five (5) outfield players. Split the teams into a team of two (2) and three (3).BALL 1 - The play starts with the goalkeeper and they must play the ball to a defender. The objective is for the goalkeeper to score in one of the large goals (halfway line/wide goals) or for the defenders to score in the smaller goal. If the attackers win the ball, then they can score.BALL 2 - The coach serves the ball to the attacking team, who aims to score. The defenders walk back to their starting positions. If the goalkeeper gathers the ball, they aim to score in the goals on the halfway line with a kick from their hands.BALL 3 - The coach serves the ball to the attacking team. The attacking team aim to score. The defending team aim to win the ball back and score in the small goals. If the goalkeeper gathers the ball, they aim to score in the goals on the halfway line with a kick from their hands.STRESSESEncourage the attacking players to put pressure on the goalkeeper. Reduce the size of the target goals (or gates).Encourage the goalkeeper to use their weaker foot.PHYSICAL LOAD: Adjust area sizes based on physical outcomes.
